The Frog Prince Teacher Resources
No study of fairy tales is complete without a lesson on “The Frog Prince.” The tale of a woeful princess and her would-be amphibian prince is entertaining for readers of any age, and has been told countless ways across many cultures, including the well-known Brothers Grimm rendition, the Russian folktale “Tsarevna Lyagushka,” and the modern Disney film The Princess and the Frog (2009).
Present the classic story to your class with an audio retelling of the story, or an e-book of a classic fairy tale collection by the Brothers Grimm. If you’re teaching the story in the context of a fairy tale unit, check out a complete unit plan that features story maps, theme discussions, and book report templates.
